Yvonne obtained her bachelor degree in business administration with a minor in project management and her master's degree in business administration with a minor in strategic leadership from American Intercontinental University, Chicago, IL.  Her career has spanned over 35 years in non-profit leadership.  Human Services has been her passion, providing basic needs, programs and services to vulnerable populations.  Although human service needs were her purpose, Yvonne knew the best way to assist non-profits in their mission was to provide leadership that would create sustainability, so she obtained her degrees in business administration.  This allowed her to continue to help those who struggle with life’s most basic needs while providing expertise that would enable the organization to be effective, produce impactful results and make visible change.  She provided careful oversight of corporate, non-profit and government partnerships as Director of the Maryland Food Bank, Executive Director of Horizons Salisbury, United Way non-profit ambassador, and as Director of Development with Baltimore Outreach Services building upon current relationships to align each organization for long term sustainability and growth and encourage strategic philanthropic giving.  She has c
onducted public appearances as liaison for local and national media outlets such as NPR, Comcast Newsmakers, and 60 minutes. She is experienced with educating local county council and state representatives to the community on organizational issues. Ms. Terry designs fund development strategies through engagement, grant writing, advocacy, partnerships and collaboration with foundations, corporations, volunteers, and individuals to promote a community presence.
